The Future of Networking – Predictions from a Networking App Entrepreneur – Entrepreneur | Region & Cash

Opinions expressed by entrepreneur Contributors are their own.

One of the biggest challenges both established and new entrepreneurs face is connecting with the right people and building a real business network that leads to mutually beneficial growth and advancement. The saying applies to all industries worldwide: β€œIt is not always important what you know, but who you know.” Networking is a process of sharing; an invaluable opportunity to connect, build and amplify. By expanding your network, you can increase awareness of your project/brand, increase your profits, secure investments and much more.

As technology becomes more embedded in our daily interactions and at the heart of our daily interactions, connectivity will look very different in the very near future.

Networking in the Metaverse

The Metaverse is here for the long haul. A quick Google search returns over a billion results. Big companies like JP Morgan, HSBC, American Express and Qualcomm are all boarding the Metaverse rocket ship with no sign of slowing down. So what makes the metaverse so attractive to the world? The simple explanation is: people crave connection and new technologies. Combine the two and you have a simulated digital environment that uses augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and blockchain along with concepts from social media to create spaces for rich user interactions that mimic the real world.

My prediction is that networking in the metaverse will become the norm in all industries worldwide. Despite our attraction to the metaverse, there is something unique about the bonds formed through face-to-face interaction. The more we delve into technology-enabled interaction, the more valuable those moments of face-to-face interaction become.

Various channels for networking

For the past 20 years, LinkedIn has been the most viable option for professional networking. There is no doubt that this has been a valuable resource for entrepreneurs and businesses, but more and more organizations are looking for other, more effective and purposeful ways to bring people together to connect. It’s not just about networking – it’s about connecting with the right people, in the right way, at the right time. Network and Chill’s mission is to provide innovative and passionate individuals from a wide variety of industries with an unparalleled opportunity to meet in a social, relaxed and exclusive environment. To simplify and further personalize the experience for members, N&C has also developed an exclusive mobile app for entrepreneurs, accessible only to members, providing instant access to invaluable information and resources to support emerging professionals and startups. They also offer founders the opportunity to find new customers, potential partners and investors and to receive feedback on new ideas.

My prediction is that as the world begins to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, networking in all forms will experience an accelerating boom, bigger than the 21st century has ever seen, after a period of longing for face-to-face interaction.

Increased international travel to make connections

Networking is expanding both locally and globally. As mentioned, we are all desperate for a personal connection after nearly three years of lockdown and social distancing.

I predict that more and more people will travel internationally to meet in person and to connect for business meetings, exchange ideas and close deals. Connecting and having a space (virtual and otherwise) to do so is essential, especially as we see the world innovating at an exponential rate. Having a one-stop shop to connect startups with like-minded brands, founders, marketers and corporations, and to offer advice and connections to guide and support individuals on their entrepreneurial journey is crucial. We are always learning and our community is learning with us.

Many entrepreneurs have an idea but may not have the funding, mentor or contact to implement the idea. Someone without access to the right resources or connections could have an idea that could transform the lives of millions of people. We know how important it is to bridge the gap between an idea and a successful project/company/product and this is where networking comes into play.
