Hyderabad, July 2022: BNI (Business Network International), India, celebrated today at HITEX the achievement of the significant milestone of over 40,000 members. Chief Guest and the legendary marketing guru, Prahlad Kakarunveiled the poster inscribed with the striking figure on this occasion. Saniana ShahExecutive Director, BNI Hyderabad, other dignitaries and over 800 entrepreneurs honored the occasion.
BNI hosted the largest business networking initiative Hyderabad has ever seen, the BNI Networking Conclave, on the occasion. Entrepreneurs, made up of a mix of BNI members and non-BNI business people, explored potential collaboration opportunities and several found new business partners and avenues for business growth. The session ended with Prahlad Kakkar sharing some valuable insights and strategies specifically for MSME owners to take their businesses to the next level.
Speak for a reason Saniana Shah said Hyderabad’s largest networking initiative, the BNI Networking Conclave, has brought nearly a thousand entrepreneurs together under one roof. This conclave allows all these entrepreneurs to build relationships and expand their business network while exploring business and collaboration opportunities. This conclave will bring tremendous benefits to each of them in the coming days. During his presentation, Mr. Prahalad Kakkar enlightened us on the importance of branding for SMEs.
Prahlad Kakar said People who create value for others become valuable for everyone else, there is also a deep similarity with brands. Brand building is basically a consuming exercise. Only the brands that bring value to their consumers will survive and make history. But not only that, the brand also creates value for the person who invests in it. Owning a brand that creates value can bring happiness to the brand owner. Regarding advertising, he said that advertising often actually creates an artificial value that does not exist and the consumer pays for the image created around the advertising of that product. That’s the power of advertising and the power of brand building. How we create value in a creative process I’ve never been able to judge, when I’ve made ads I’ve never been able to ascribe the value that comes from it. Many of these legendary ads are still relevant after two decades of their creation, even though the lifespan of an ad is only six months. Brand values are often built on stories that are multifariously powerful and resonant and endure many years after the brand’s death. When we present facts and figures about our brand, they often come across as dreary and boring, so we need to tell stories, only stories get engagement. When we get engagement, we get conversions and we get value.
